How does school instrument rental work with Prelude?
Contact us with your school's needs and we'll put together a custom plan. We can provide a signup link for your newsletter so parents can choose instruments and pay online — no admin for the school. We deliver instruments directly to families, serviced and ready to play.
What instruments are available?
We cover the full range schools need for band and orchestra: violins, violas, cellos, flutes, clarinets, oboes, saxophones, trumpets, trombones, French horns, and more. Student, intermediate, and professional tiers are available.
How much does it cost?
Pricing depends on the instruments, quantities, and rental period. We offer discounted rates for school programmes and bulk orders of 5 or more instruments. Get in touch and we'll send you a custom quote — no obligation.
Can individual parents rent through the school programme?
Yes. Once we set up your school's programme, parents can sign up individually through a dedicated link. They choose their instrument, select a plan, and pay online. The school doesn't handle any money or paperwork.
Do you deliver outside main centres?
Yes. We deliver instruments to families across New Zealand, whether your school is in Auckland, a regional town, or anywhere in between.
What happens if an instrument is damaged?
Normal wear and tear is expected and covered. For accidental damage, we assess the situation on a case-by-case basis. We're reasonable — our goal is to keep students playing, not to penalise families.
